Dental Crowns (Caps) are made of Metal such as Gold, porcelain or combination of metal and porcelain. We use crowns to protect teeth that are damaged to restore it to it’s original shape and color. Crowns are indicated when teeth are:
  • Cracked or broken
  • Root Canal treated
  • Discolored with large fillings
  • Decayed Teeth that lost more than 50% of the crown size
Crowns are made in two separate visits, sometimes It might requires more visits depending on the case.
 
In the First visit we prepare the teeth and take impression of the final preparation, followed by temporary crown fabrication.
 
At the Second visit we cement the porcelain crown using different types of cemen, proper hygiene including flossing is required for proper maintenance of the dental crown.
